Advertisers pay people like us to find an audience for their advertisements. Newspapers, magazines, television networks—they all work on this concept.  But the difference between Kwizzical and all those other guys is that we take the money that advertisers give us and sort of spread it around a bit. A little for the winners, a piece for some charity, and the crumbs for us—you know, just enough to keep the lights on.
